007: Racing for PlayStati by Electronic Arts, Inc., Eutechnyx Limited. In 007 Racing you can get behind the wheel of James Bond's car. You must complete missions which range from collecting something and getting out alive to much harder and complicated things. Your car is armed with many weapons including mines, rockets, lasers, smokescreens, and more. Then, if you get bored playing by yourself you can eliminate your opponent in multiplayer missions where you have to destroy the other car, or a game mode called "Pass the Bomb", where you must pass the bomb to the other car by touching it before you blow up. 007's varied scenery-from the streets of New York to the jungle roads of Mexico-is detailed and moves smoothly as you speed by, but the screen is often blurry with pixels. It's a breeze to control your vehicles-including the Aston Martin DB5 and BMW Roadster-yet some objectives are tedious and frustrating, such as setting multiple limpet mines in precise locations within a time limit. 007 Racing offers mild fun that will appeal for sure only to gamers who love both Bond and action-driving games
Actua Golf 3 is a golf simulation game featuring eight courses. You can completely customize your own character. With a new character you start with amateur tournaments until you have removed your handicap. Then you can participate in the pro tournaments. To hit the ball in this game the player will have to use his analogue stick and swing that much like a real club. The game features commentary by Peter Alliss and Alex Hay. Absolute Playstation: Golfing games in the past have had so little to do with the popular sport that takes place on the greens and fairways all across the world. Anyone who has thrown a golf club down in anger will tell you that accurately striking a small white ball with a thin metal stick is a little more difficult than pressing a joypad button three times in succession. Gremlin have finally cracked it by implementing a new control system that allows the club to be swung using an analog stick. It works a treat and actually feels as if you are swinging through that ball. If Actua Golf was a Par and Actua Golf 2 a Birdie, then Actua Golf 3 is definitely an Eagle.
July 11, 2008 - I usually like to start off my reviews by creating a clever pun out of the game's title to introduce or briefly summarize how I feel about said game. But to take a line out of Alone in the Dark's dialogue, '**** it,' this game sucks. For anyone left in the dark about Alone in the Dark (ok, so maybe I still snuck a pun in there), the survival-horror game takes players through the monster-infested streets of New York. You begin the game by waking up from a daze. As with a lot of clichéd stories nowadays, your character starts out with a bad case of amnesia. You don't know who you are, or where you came from. All you know is that you are being held captive by dangerous and mysterious men. After you orient yourself with the slightly awkward controls, you will escape their clutches only to come across a dicier scenario. For reasons unknown, zombies, freaky bats, huge spiders, and more scary creatures begin to unearth themselves.

A készítők és a kiadó most gondolták úgy, hogy meglökik az eladásokat, így piacra dobtak egy Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Ultimate Editiont, amely a következőket tartalmazza: A szintén nagyon sikeres Xbox Live/PlayStation Network játékot a Battlefield 1943-at. Magát a Battlefield: Bad Company 2-t. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 'Onslaught' módot, ami egy intenzív 4 fős co-op. Azonnali elérési lehetőséget négy gépjármű továbbfejlesztéshez, és két unlockolható fegyvert a vásárláás első napjáról - Ez a bónusz eredetileg a BF: BC2 Limited Edionban volt megtalálható. A Bad Company 2-őt a DICE legprofibb next-gen grafikus motorja a Frostbite hajtja.
Using the acclaimed Frostbite engine, Battlefield 1943 takes players back to WWII to re-experience some of the legendary battles that kicked off the Battlefield franchise. The game offers endless hours of 24 player multiplayer action over three classic and tropic locations; Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. Delivering the award-winning through-the-gun and vehicle warfare online experience DICE is best recognized for, Battlefield 1943 will have players battling in ruthless aerial dog fights and intense trench combat.

Jack Black stars as Eddie Riggs, a roadie who's sucked into a mythical Age of Rock to fight evil. From mind of the legendary game director Tim Schafer. Double Fine's Brutal Legend is an unabashed love letter to an era and genre of music that celebrated fast guitar riffs and hard living. It's also a tribute to an epic lore that spoke of conquerors and death--all of which were often depicted at once on any given metal album cover with the obligatory smattering of lightning. Of course, the fact that Brutal Legend features a phenomenal soundtrack from the likes of Black Sabbath, Motorhead, and Judas Priest with suitable hack-and-slash action would feasibly constitute a reasonable tribute on its own terms.
As one of the most critically acclaimed shooters of all time, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a prime example of a tough act to follow. Yet, amidst a raging storm of anticipation and expectation, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has done it. The new campaign is chock-full of intense action and dramatic moments, and though it is more muddled than its predecessor (in more ways than one), it's still an absolute blast. The new Special Ops mode allows you to experience some campaign-inspired thrills with a friend and it's an engaging challenge to coordinate your maneuvers and tackle the varied objectives. Last but not least, the competitive multiplayer that took the online shooter community by storm two years ago is back and better than ever. Though the addictive action remains the same at its core, there are a host of new elements that make it more accessible, more strategic, and more rewarding. This all adds up to a thoroughly excellent package that is sure to thrill shooter fans and deprive them of sleep for months to come.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII achieves a striking balance of old and new, and juggles fan service with pure role-playing satisfaction. It's striking how these elements have been shaped into such an appealing and emotionally affecting prequel. There are some new characters and plenty of fan favorites too, such as Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith. However, the characters you're most likely to empathize with are unlikely ones, including protagonist Zack, and Sephiroth, who is complex, troubled, and even sometimes likable. The way their personal stories weave in and out of each other--and set the stage for the events in Final Fantasy VII--makes Crisis Core not just the finest role-playing experience available on the PSP, but also one of the best Japanese RPGs in years.
In Dante's Inferno, battle through the 9 circles of Hell facing fierce and hideous monsters, your own sins, and a dark past of hideous war crimes. While Dante slices through the belly of an undead beast with his razor-sharp scythe, traverses a crumbling bridge with a quick-time event, and overthrows the ruler of a damned land with vicious determination, a burst of familiarity might flash through your mind. From the gothic art style and the vengeance-fueled story to the stationary camera clearly displaying the blood-splattering combat, Dante's Inferno is a wholesale imitation of the superb God of War series. Or, at the very least, it's desperately trying to be. Unfortunately, the impression lasts for only the first few hours. What starts as a fast-paced and epic quest to destroy Lucifer in an underworld populated by grotesque and disfigured beings, devolves into a monotonous and downright predictable hack-and-slash. Dante's Inferno gets close enough to its source material to make for a gory and satisfying few hours in hell, but its many flaws prevent it from rising to paradise.
A lot of games make a big deal out of player choice, but few in recent memory offer so many intricate, meaningful ways of approaching any given situation. You fulfill or dash the spiritual hopes of an idyllic society, side with slavers or their slaves, and decide the fate of more than one city over the course of your postapocalyptic journey through the Washington, DC wasteland. Your actions have far-reaching consequences that affect not just the world around you but also the way you play, and it's this freedom that makes Fallout 3 worth playing--and replaying. It's deep and mesmerizing, and though not as staggeringly broad as the developer's previous games, it's more focused and vividly realized. This focus is obvious from the first hour of the game, in which character creation and story exposition are beautifully woven together.
Never before have technology, playability, and narrative combined as well as in Final Fantasy VII. The culmination of Square Soft's monumental effort is a game that will enrich just as it will entertain. Yet, for all the boundless praise it so rightfully deserves, Final Fantasy VII is not without its shortcomings and occasional design problems. These are enough to make some gamers (who are unfamiliar with RPGs, to be sure) wonder just why anyone would bother playing through it in the first place. This is the most dazzling visual experience to date on any console. Film-quality computer-generated cinematics blend seamlessly with pre-rendered background artwork to create the strikingly realistic world of Final Fantasy VII, both beautiful in its grandeur and terrifying in its detail. The overworld and battle sequences are presented in full polygonal splendor with just a touch of texture mapping for good measure. But you haven't seen anything until you witness some of the more powerful magic spells in the game.
Final Fantasy XI isn't a new game--it's just newly released for the PlayStation 2 in North America. However, the game originally debuted in Japan nearly two years ago in the summer of 2002. Late last year, a PC version of the game shipped to these shores, which was many English-speaking gamers' first exposure to the persistent world of Vana'diel. The new PS2 version of the game is identical, to the point where you can freely transfer your player character between the different versions of the game. Yet while it's the same Final Fantasy XI, the context is completely different. Despite the fact that the PC gaming market is oversaturated with massively multiplayer online role-playing games, many PS2 owners have never experienced such a game before. But let's not beat around the bush: The PC is the better platform for Final Fantasy XI, and to properly enjoy it on your PS2, you'll need to pay $100 for the PS2 hard disk drive (the game comes included) and possibly $40 for a PS2 network adapter if you don't already have one. Plus you'll need a USB keyboard hooked up to your console to communicate with other players.
